Tuesday, 06 July 2010 Rocky Trail kicks off Winter endurance racing season at Awaba MTB Park on the Central Coast

South wins 8Hour Solo Male category and 4Hour Solo rider James Lamb misses
work, but wins the race. On the weekend, Rocky Trail kicked
off this year's Winter MTB endurance racing season with the first round of
their MTB Grand Prix Series at AwabaMTBPark. With his wife looking after their newborn daughter at home, overall race
winner Jon Odams dominated the Solo 8Hour field at Awaba MTB Park early on in
the race and won the day's race with 18 laps after being pursued all day
by David Ludenia. The Blue Mountains rider from Lawson finished as second solo
male and third overall in the race, ahead of Canberra
solo rider Andrew Hall who came in third after eight hours. Last year's MTB GP
Series winner Michael Crummy from South Windsor,
who is now riding with the newly formed EnduroPulse Racing Team, finished fifth
with 17 laps, just minutes behind Dean Pattenden from Erina.
