Wednesday, 30 June 2010 Rocky Trail venue change to revive best-kept MTB secret in Sydney
Event organisers Rocky Trail Entertainment have
announced the venue change for one of their biggest events, the JetBlack 12
Hour WSMTB Race on 7 August 2010. Traditionally a Western Sydney MTB Club
(WSMTB) race, the event had been held at Yellomundee Regional
Park annually for a good
decade and has evolved as the premier 12 hour endurance MTB race in NSW.
The new event venue
secured by Rocky Trail is at Dargle Farm, a private property, located about
1.5hrs from Sydney.
Land owners operate a Water Ski Park in summer and having staged MTB races
previously, the grounds had been closed for public use years ago and have been
unavailable for mountain bikers ever since. However, the original MTB trails
are still there, just waiting to be rediscovered, as Rocky Trail "track
