Established in early 2003 by Alina McMaster and Tom Landon-Smith, AROC (Adventure Racing Outdoor Challenges) Sport is an outdoor event management company which specialises in organising Adventure Races.
Former members of the Australian Cross-Country Ski Team and Australian Rogaining Multisport Champions, Alina and Tom are two of Australia’s leading adventure racers. Their team has accomplished top 3 finishes in major international adventure races such as the EcoChallenge, Fiji, the Subaru Primal Quest, USA and the Southern Traverse, NZ.
Using their extensive experience, they created a wide array of adventure races designed to satisfy every possible level, from the first-timer to the experienced all-rounder!
After 7 seasons and over 60 events successfully organised, AROC Sport is widely recognised in the outdoors community as extremely competent event organisers and great course setters. AROC’s commitment to challenging navigation gained the respect of Orienteering Australia, the national governing body for all state associations, and they are now AROC’s official partner.
We are also raising funds and awareness for 2 non-for-profit organisations: Lifestart with Kayak for Kids paddling event, and The Wilderness Society with WildEndurance.
